Day 2 : Perth – Busselton (B,L,D)
This morning a local wildflower expert will take us on a discovery tour of Kings Park. Enjoy hearing all about the wildflowers found throughout Western Australia in preparation for what lies ahead. From Perth we drive to the Forest Heritage Centre. Here you can explore wildflowers and timber getters trails and climb the 11 metre forest canopy viewing platform and series of walkways. We reboard our vehicle to journey along the spectacular coastline to Busselton. Two Night Stay: Busselton

Day 3 : Busselton (B,L,D)
Today we head to Cape Leeuwin Lighthouse on the most south western tip of Australia, where the Indian and Southern Oceans meet. Your local guide will explain how the old lighthouse was manually operated until 1982 by a clockwork mechanism and kero burner, one of the last in the world. Visit Caveworks, a fascinating eco-centre with impressive educational displays. Then enter Mammoth Cave to learn about these spectacular limestone formations. Finish your day with a tasting at a local brewery and winery, for which the Margaret River area is renowned for.

Day 4 : Busselton – Albany (B,L,D)
Travel south to the famous Gloucester Tree. Standing at 61 metres tall, the tree is from the Karri family, the world’s third tallest tree species. It was pegged in 1946 so that people could climb it and use it as a watchtower for bushfires. Take a breathtaking ride on the Pemberton Tramway through the towering Karri and Jarrah Forests. Continue on to the Valley of the Giants on the Tree Top Walk to view the canopy of the magnificent tingle forest and get a different perspective on the shapes, sounds and movements of the forest. Day 5 : Albany (B,L,D)
This morning tour Torndirrup National Park where the Southern Ocean has moulded the rugged coastline into some spectacular rock formations. One of the most notable is the granite Natural Bridge and the Gap, where the waves rush in and out with tremendous ferocity. Experience Albany’s seafaring history at Whaleworld, a fascinating whaling museum located in Australia’s last operational whaling station. This afternoon enjoy a Wilderness and Geology Cruise, you may even spot some migratory whales breaching.

Day 6 : Albany – Hyden (B,L,D)
The imposing jagged peaks of the Stirling Range, combined with serene 360 degree views and the breathtaking beauty of the Stirling Range National Park, ensures a truly memorable visit. Travel via the country town of Lake Grace situated on Western Australia’s southern wheatbelt. On the way you can expect to see a wonderfully diverse array of wildflowers flowering. Day 7 : Hyden – Esperance (B,L,D)
This morning visit the unusual rock formations of Hippo’s Yawn and Wave Rock. Continue to the coastal town of Esperance, home to some of the best coastal scenery in Australia with its squeaky white sand and sparkly turquoise water. Two Night Stay: Esperance

Day 8 : Esperance (B,L,D)
There are not too many places in Australia where kangaroos sunbake on the beach, but at Cape Le Grand National Park this is just one of the many natural highs on offer. Enjoy this pristine National Park located near Esperance which is known for its wild coastal scenery, rugged granite peaks, sweeping heathlands and idyllic beaches. Return to Esperance for lunch followed by a visit to the Esperance Museum which houses historical displays including the world famous Skylab collection.

Day 9 : Esperance – Kalgoorlie (B,L,D)
Journey to the gold rush town of Kalgoorlie and follow the Golden Mile, said to have been the richest square mile of gold bearing earth in the world. The discovery of gold in the Kalgoorlie Goldfields over one hundred years ago resulted in the influx of thousands, who scoured the red earth in a frenzied search for alluvial gold. Tour Hannan Street and admire several fine old Victorian-style hotels. At the Miners Hall of Fame you will have the opportunity to pan for gold, watch gold being poured or even put on your hard hat and go down a mineshaft. Overnight Stay: Kalgoorlie

Day 10 : Kalgoorlie – Leonora (B,L,D)
Visit the Kalgoorlie-Boulder branch of the Western Australian Museum where you are invited to dig into the past and explore the heritage, history, living conditions, cultures and social lives of people living on the Eastern Goldfields in the early years. Continue via Menzies to the historic gold mining township of Leonora with its wide main street and verandah shopfronts. It is a beautiful old town which still houses many of its original old buildings including the Police Station, Courthouse and Fire Station. Overnight Stay: Leonora

Day 11 : Leonora - Meekatharra (B,L,D)
Travel via the gold mining towns of Leinster and Sandstone to Meekatharra, all situated in the Eastern Goldfields. These towns are described as an oasis in the desert and it is on today’s journey that you are likely to see the surrounding red earth transformed by a dazzling array of colourful wildflowers. You may also be lucky enough to see native animals, bungarra lizards or a wedge tailed eagle as they are all prevalent in this area. Overnight Stay: Meekatharra

Day 12 : Meekatharra - Geraldton (B,L,D)
Today’s touring will see us travelling west via Mount Magnet and then towards the coastal town of Geraldton. Geraldton is a key port and administrative centre for the mid west region of Western Australia. The town is situated on the beautiful western coastline and combined with the friendly feel of a country town, it makes for a truly memorable holiday experience. Two Night Stay: Geraldton

Day 13 : Geraldton & Kalbarri National Park (B,LD)
This morning discover magnificent Kalbarri National Park which covers 183,000 hectares. Marvel at nature’s ability to carve the landscape. Explore the depths and heights of the river gorges and sea cliffs and admire the floral beauty of the vast, rolling sand plains. This afternoon enjoy a guided tour of the HMAS Sydney II Memorial which was erected to honour the 645 Australian sailors who were lost off the Western Australian coast during a World War II battle in November 1941.

Day 14 : Geraldton – Perth (B,L,D)
Today visit the Western Flora Park and take a tour with internationally recognised wildflower expert Allan Tinker. Described as the ‘wildflower wizard’ and having three wildflower species named after him, your tour will provide a unique insight into the wonders of Western Australian wildflowers. We then visit Nambung National Park, home of the Pinnacles. These limestone pillars rise up to four metres high out of the sand like ancient ruins. The raw material for the limestone came from seashells which were brought ashore by waves thousands of years ago and then carried inland by the wind to form high mobile dunes. Over time the elements have removed the surrounding sand, leaving the pillars exposed. Continue to Perth where you’ll say farewell to your crew and fellow travellers at this evening’s dinner.
